ORION HOUSES

The project acts as a link between the existing single-family neighbourhoods and the transport hub. The NEOstudio project creates a second contemporary neighbourhood in this location and features 29 unique homes. This three-storey, two-bedroom home features an open-plan living/kitchen/dining area for comfortable living on the main level. The house also has a loft on the 3rd floor with a bathroom. The second floor consists of a master suite and an additional bedroom with bathroom. A finished basement (as an option) provides additional square metres, including a third bedroom, bathroom and a sizable family room. The house has a two-car garage.

ALPERT RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL COMPLEX

    We designed two buildings that fit into the modern urban space. Commercial facades surround the entire building, creating a ‘front door’ overlooking the main boulevard. The four residential floors above, are set back from the ground floor to create a terrace arrangement, while allowing as much sun exposure as possible on the commercial facades. The residential facades are interconnected, creating a playful rhythm, but which also provides the privacy of the residential balconies. The building consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom flats. The building features extensive communal spaces for residents, including a rooftop terrace on the second floor with outdoor pools, hot tubs, an outdoor barbecue area and a recreational multipurpose space. One in five flats has a private rooftop terrace and garden.

RESIDENTIAL BUILDING WITH HISTORY

      The Berg Residence is located in the historic city of Aspen, Colorado. The project involves the complete renovation of a historic building and the construction of a new two-storey residential building. The existing building and the new building were designed to provide connectivity and continuity between the large new home and the smaller guest cottage. The interior of the building has been meticulously restored to its original Victorian charm. The modern two-storey extension was placed behind the historic building so as not to disrupt the scale of the development in Aspen’s city centre. The new building uses materials from the historic town, but contrasts in massing and proportion. The site plan complements the original grid pattern of the city, while creating private spaces for the residences. A large rooftop terrace is equipped with a complete outdoor kitchen and fire pit and unobstructed 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains.

TERRACED HOUSE KOELBEL

 The development is located in the Lowry neighbourhood of Denver, a link between existing single-family neighbourhoods and the transportation hub to the east. Gradual forms and a varied palette of materials maintain an appropriate scale and expression to the street, while large areas of glass promote views and visual connections to the street, while maintaining privacy in the units. The project won the Koelbel Urban Homes competition. The project illustrates the sustainability goals of the Boulevard One neighbourhood, aiming to achieve a HERS index of 50, the use of appropriate utilities in all units, and offers housing with innovative interior design. The unit design includes two unit plan prototypes: a 300 M2 end unit with a first floor master bedroom and a lift option that can accommodate empty nesters as potential buyers, and a 250 M2 three-storey building with a unique multi-level entry floor and rooftop amenity. The scope of the project includes four buildings with 35 total units.

Grzybowska 85 is a flat development combining metropolitan style and intimacy.
It is located in the centre of Warsaw, in one of the most dynamically developing districts of the capital. The project of a residential complex consisting of three independent buildings will be developed in the centre of Warsaw. Construction is divided into three phases. The first phase of the investment – 174 comfortable flats located
in a 9-storey building of a higher standard.

A HOUSE ON THE BEACH

The house is located 4 miles south of Playa del Carmen on a private stretch of sandy beach. The interior design maximises views of the beach from the bedrooms and living room, among others. The manner of the solutions also offers the flexibility of six bedrooms and bathrooms to function as part of one large house or individually, with a common area of shared living room for all guests. This home perfectly blends historic Mayan forms and materials with the contemporary elegance of modern Mexican architecture.

RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL COMPLEX ALTUS

Design and supervision by the BJK Architekci team.
The Altus building consists of segments of varying heights. It is characterised by modern architecture, a façade covered with stone slabs and aluminium and a large number of glazed areas, which give the building lightness and emphasise its modern character. Between the individual segments there is a green courtyard and a fitness area accessible only to the residents. The courtyard, surrounded by segments in this way, contains playgrounds, which guarantees the safety of children’s independent play.
The intimacy of the development is ensured by a high plinth separating the nearby Zwycięstwa Avenue from the residential part. The windows of the flats located on the upper floors offer a beautiful view of the nearby Kępa Redłowska nature reserve.
